All Schoolhoused guitars are hand-built to order. Pickups, fretboard, frets, neck profile, neck radius and width, finish and hardware can all be customized, according to your preference.

Then, there’s the wood…

Wood matters — and even for electric guitars, old-growth wood has proven characteristics for superior resonance and tone.

The wood used in all Schoolhoused guitar bodies is 200-year-old Douglas fir, reclaimed from the old rafters of this 1825 schoolhouse. The wood is lightweight but incredibly dense, with very tight growth rings, so it has a resonance that’s unique, delivering powerful sustain and tone.
